In value terms, rice bran imports amounted to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 54%. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, the United States (X tons) was the main rice bran supplier to Malaysia, with a 93% share of total imports. It was followed by Sweden (X tons), with a 3% share of total imports.
