Maldives, Mexico, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 20%.

Overall, imports recorded perceptible growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 95%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, iron or steel sanitary ware imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports posted notable growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 83% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
