It was distantly followed by Syrian Arab Republic (X tons), generating a 7.8% share of total exports. The United Arab Emirates (X tons), Iran (X tons), Kuwait (X tons) and Lebanon (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by the United Arab Emirates (with a CAGR of +47.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest brazil nut supplying countries in MENA were Palestine ($X), Tunisia ($X) and Syrian Arab Republic ($X), together comprising 88% of total exports. Kuwait, Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 10%.
Among the main exporting countries, the United Arab Emirates, with a CAGR of +54.3%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Kuwait ($X per ton), while Lebanon ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kuwait (+19.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, approx. X tons of brazil nuts were imported in MENA; rising by 24% on 2020. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a deep reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 75% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons.
