In value terms, hydrazine and hydroxylamine exports surged to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +117.3% against 2020 indices. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
In 2022, Turkey (X tons) represented the major exporter of hydrazine and hydroxylamine and their inorganic salts, achieving 85% of total exports. It was distantly followed by the United Arab Emirates (X tons), achieving a 12% share of total exports. Israel (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton), while Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+6.4%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in MENA
In 2022, approx. X tons of hydrazine and hydroxylamine and their inorganic salts were imported in MENA; picking up by 37% against the previous year's figure. Total imports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +138.8% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 74%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.
In value terms, hydrazine and hydroxylamine imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 123%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
Turkey was the largest importer of hydrazine and hydroxylamine and their inorganic salts in MENA, with the volume of imports amounting to X tons, which was near 49% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Israel (X tons) and the United Arab Emirates (X tons), together comprising a 32% share of total imports. The following importers - Tunisia (X tons), Kuwait (X tons), Iran (X tons) and Egypt (X tons) - each resulted at a 13% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to hydrazine and hydroxylamine imports into Turkey stood at +7.8%. At the same time, Israel (+19.3%), Kuwait (+15.8%), the United Arab Emirates (+6.5%) and Egypt (+2.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Israel emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in MENA, with a CAGR of +19.3% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Tunisia (-3.7%) and Iran (-3.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Israel (+16 p.p.), Turkey (+6.5 p.p.) and Kuwait (+1.9 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Iran (-5.6 p.p.) and Tunisia (-5.7 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest hydrazine and hydroxylamine importing markets in MENA were Israel ($X), Turkey ($X) and the United Arab Emirates ($X), with a combined 84% share of total imports.
In terms of the main importing countries, Israel, with a CAGR of +24.4%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in MENA amounted to $X per ton, reducing by -11.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 28%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton, and then reduced in the following year.
