In value terms, Turkey ($X), the United Arab Emirates ($X) and Saudi Arabia ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, together accounting for 84% of total exports. These countries were followed by Morocco, which accounted for a further 3.7%.

In terms of the main exporting countries, Morocco, with a CAGR of +23.6%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Israel, with a CAGR of +45.7%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the import price in MENA amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
