The MENA's microphone market shrank significantly to $X in 2022, waning by -43.4% against the previous year. Overall, consumption, however, posted a temperate expansion. As a result, consumption reached the peak level of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the market failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, microphone production rose to $X in 2022 estimated in export price. Over the period under review, production enjoyed resilient growth. Israel (X units) and Turkey (X units) were the key exporters of microphones and their stands in 2022, finishing at near 40% and 38% of total exports, respectively. Oman (X units) held a 10% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by the United Arab Emirates (9.9%).

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Oman (with a CAGR of +17.6%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Israel ($X) remains the largest microphone supplier in MENA, comprising 57% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Turkey ($X), with a 20% share of total exports. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates, with a 19% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Israel stood at +13.0%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Turkey (+12.3% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+4.3% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in MENA amounted to $X per unit, shrinking by -10.5% against the previous year. Export price indicated moderate growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, microphone export price increased by +42.7% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 59% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($X per unit), while Oman ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, the amount of microphones and their stands imported in MENA declined markedly to X units, with a decrease of -18.2% compared with the year before. Overall, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 42%. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, microphone imports shrank modestly to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 29%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then declined modestly in the following year.

Imports by Country

The United Arab Emirates (X units) and Turkey (X units) represented the key importers of microphones and their stands in 2022, reaching approx. 28% and 23% of total imports, respectively. Qatar (X units) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Oman (X units), Iran (X units) and Israel (X units). All these countries together took approx. 25% share of total imports. The following importers - Morocco (X units), Iraq (X units), Algeria (X units), Kuwait (X units), Libya (X units), Yemen (X units) and Bahrain (X units) - together made up 19% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Qatar (with a CAGR of +33.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported microphones and their stands in MENA, comprising 40% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Turkey ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Israel, with an 11% share.

In the United Arab Emirates, microphone imports increased at an average annual rate of +9.2% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (+6.5% per year) and Israel (+12.3% per year).

Import Prices by Country

The import price in MENA stood at $X per unit in 2022, with an increase of 20% against the previous year.
