In value terms, non-hydraulic press exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Total exports indicated a temperate expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 81% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Turkey dominates exports structure, accounting for X units, which was near 85% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Oman (X units) and the United Arab Emirates (X units), together mixing up a 12% share of total exports.
Turkey was also the fastest-growing in terms of the non-hydraulic presses for working metal exports, with a CAGR of +24.4% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Oman (+13.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, the United Arab Emirates (-13.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Turkey (+50 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of the United Arab Emirates (-45.2 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest non-hydraulic press supplier in MENA, comprising 79% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with a 4.1% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Turkey stood at +5.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the United Arab Emirates (-15.9% per year) and Oman (+18.3% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in MENA amounted to $X per unit, dropping by -50.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 31%. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per unit), while Oman ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Oman (+3.9%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in MENA
In 2021, after three years of decline, there was significant growth in overseas purchases of non-hydraulic presses for working metal, when their volume increased by 30% to X units. Overall, imports saw noticeable growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 93% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, non-hydraulic press imports rose remarkably to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed a abrupt setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 25%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, the United Arab Emirates (X units) and Israel (X units) represented the key importers of non-hydraulic presses for working metal in MENA, together recording approx. 45% of total imports. Kuwait (X units) held the next position in the ranking, followed by Yemen (X units), Iraq (X units) and Egypt (X units). All these countries together held near 37% share of total imports. Oman (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Kuwait (with a CAGR of +39.3%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest non-hydraulic press importing markets in MENA were the United Arab Emirates ($X), Israel ($X) and Egypt ($X), together comprising 28% of total imports. Iraq, Kuwait, Oman and Yemen lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 6%.
Yemen, with a CAGR of +21.6%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in MENA stood at $X per unit in 2021, declining by -14.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the import price increased by 62%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Egypt ($X per unit), while Yemen ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
