As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Israel (X tons), Morocco (X tons), Turkey (X tons), the United Arab Emirates (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons) represented the main importer of assembled parquet panels in MENA, committing 83% of total import. It was distantly followed by Egypt (X tons), constituting a 5.5% share of total imports. The following importers - Iran (X tons) and Qatar (X tons) - each finished at a 4.3% share of total imports.

Morocco, with a CAGR of +31.4%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in MENA stood at $X per ton in 2021, declining by -1.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the import price increased by 6.9%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2021, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Qatar ($X per ton), while Saudi Arabia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Egypt (+6.6%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
