The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 154% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Turkey (X tons) represented the main exporter of propan-1-ol (propyl alcohol) and propan-2-ol (isopropyl alcohol), creating 72% of total exports. It was distantly followed by the United Arab Emirates (X tons), comprising a 23% share of total exports. Israel (X tons) took a minor share of total exports.

Turkey was also the fastest-growing in terms of the propan-1-ol (propyl alcohol) and propan-2-ol (isopropyl alcohol) exports, with a CAGR of +16.6% from 2012 to 2022. In Turkey, propyl and isopropyl alcohol exports increased at an average annual rate of +16.4% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United Arab Emirates (+7.9% per year) and Israel (-13.6% per year).

The export price in MENA stood at $X per ton in 2022, with an increase of 9.9% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Egypt ($X per ton), while the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Egypt (+0.7%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the import price figures.
