Overall, the yield, however, continues to indicate a slight curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 3.5% against the previous year. In 2022, Egypt (X tons), distantly followed by Palestine (X tons), Jordan (X tons), Bahrain (X tons), Kuwait (X tons) and Qatar (X tons) represented the key importers of sour cherries, together committing 97% of total imports. The United Arab Emirates (X tons) held a little share of total imports.

Import price indicated notable growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, sour cherry import price increased by +50.2% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 70% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the import prices failed to regain momentum.
