In terms of the main exporting countries, Israel, with a CAGR of +21.3%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.

The export price in MENA stood at $X per unit in 2021, dropping by -14.9% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, enjoyed significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the export price increased by 83% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per unit), while the United Arab Emirates ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Import price indicated resilient growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, ultraviolet, infrared, or arc lamp import price increased by +123.2% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 102% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per unit), while Qatar ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
