The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Paraguay (+16.1% per year) and Colombia (-6.8% per year).

Imports in MERCOSUR
In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres, when their volume decreased by -28.3% to X tons. Overall, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 89%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then declined rapidly in the following year.
In value terms, imports of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres fell remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 98%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then declined sharply in the following year.
Imports by Country
Chile prevails in fibres structure, recording X tons, which was near 55% of total imports in 2022. Peru (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 9.7% share, followed by Brazil (7.4%), Paraguay (7.4%), Argentina (6.5%) and Venezuela (5.4%). Colombia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Imports into Chile increased at an average annual rate of +11.0% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Paraguay (+25.0%), Argentina (+17.7%) and Peru (+6.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Paraguay emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in MERCOSUR, with a CAGR of +25.0% from 2012-2022. Brazil experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Colombia (-8.2%) and Venezuela (-18.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Chile (+34 p.p.), Paraguay (+6.5 p.p.), Argentina (+5.2 p.p.) and Peru (+4.1 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Colombia (-6.5 p.p.) and Venezuela (-39.7 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Chile ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres in MERCOSUR, comprising 63% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Peru ($X), with a 9.8% share of total imports. It was followed by Brazil, with a 7.6% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Chile totaled +4.5%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Peru (+6.0% per year) and Brazil (+1.0% per year).
