Brazil (X units) and Chile (X units) dominates exports structure, together constituting 94% of total exports. The following exporters - Peru (X units) and Colombia (X units) - each recorded a 3.6% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Brazil (with a CAGR of +30.5%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Chile ($X) remains the largest bicycle supplier in MERCOSUR, comprising 82% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Brazil ($X), with a 12% share of total exports. It was followed by Colombia, with a 3.1% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Chile totaled +3.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Brazil (+38.2% per year) and Colombia (+22.7% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in MERCOSUR amounted to $X per unit, dropping by -3.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 311% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2015 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Chile ($X per unit), while Brazil ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Peru (+22.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in MERCOSUR
Bicycle imports skyrocketed to X units in 2021, picking up by 185% against 2020. In general, imports saw a prominent increase. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country
Paraguay prevails in imports structure, recording X units, which was approx. 90% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Chile (X units), creating a 4.7% share of total imports. Colombia (X units) took a relatively small share of total imports.
Imports into Paraguay increased at an average annual rate of +7.3% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Chile (+11.6%) and Colombia (+8.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Chile emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in MERCOSUR, with a CAGR of +11.6% from 2012-2021. Paraguay (+1.8 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Chile ($X), Colombia ($X) and Paraguay ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 67% share of total imports.
Colombia, with a CAGR of +18.2%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in MERCOSUR stood at $X per unit in 2021, reducing by -37.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded mild growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the import price increased by 123%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Colombia ($X per unit), while Paraguay ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
