Brazil dominates exports structure, recording X tons, which was near 91% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Colombia (X tons), achieving a 4.5% share of total exports. The following exporters - Peru (X tons) and Argentina (X tons) - each reached a 4.1% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to insulating fittings exports from Brazil stood at -26.3%. At the same time, Argentina (+15.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Argentina emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in MERCOSUR, with a CAGR of +15.2% from 2012-2021. The export price in MERCOSUR stood at $X per ton in 2021, falling by -5.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the export price increased by 393% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2014 to 2021, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Argentina ($X per ton), while Colombia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (+14.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

After three years of decline, supplies from abroad of insulating fittings for electrical purposes increased by 61% to X tons in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a abrupt contraction. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

Chile (X tons) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Colombia (X tons). All these countries together took near 20% share of total imports. Argentina (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
