In value terms, Peru ($X), Ecuador ($X) and Colombia ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined 94% share of total exports.
Ecuador, with a CAGR of +52.7%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 57% against the previous year. Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Colombia ($X per ton), while Ecuador ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, approx. X tons of non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified were imported in MERCOSUR; declining by -41.8% against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a tangible expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 79%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then fell remarkably in the following year.

Brazil represented the key importer of non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified in MERCOSUR, with the volume of imports finishing at X tons, which was approx. 55% of total imports in 2022. Paraguay (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 16% share, followed by Colombia (13%) and Suriname (12%). The following importers - Guyana (X tons) and Uruguay (X tons) - each finished at a 4.1% share of total imports.
Imports into Brazil increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Guyana (+17.1%), Uruguay (+14.7%), Suriname (+11.2%) and Paraguay (+8.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Guyana emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in MERCOSUR, with a CAGR of +17.1% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Colombia (-2.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Paraguay (+6.7 p.p.), Suriname (+6.4 p.p.) and Guyana (+1.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Colombia saw its share reduced by -9.6% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Brazil ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified in MERCOSUR, comprising 83% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Suriname ($X), with a 4.5% share of total imports. It was followed by Colombia, with a 4% share.
In Brazil, non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified imports expanded at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Suriname (+8.6% per year) and Colombia (-4.7% per year).
Import Prices by Country
