Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, printing press exports reached $X in 2022. Total exports indicated resilient growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +21.3% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 60% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
Exports by Country
Brazil (X units) and Colombia (X units) represented roughly 55% of total exports in 2022. Peru (X units) held a 14% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Chile (11%), Argentina (8.8%) and Ecuador (6.7%). Uruguay (X units) took a relatively small share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Ecuador (with a CAGR of +15.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Brazil ($X) remains the largest printing press supplier in MERCOSUR, comprising 65% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Chile ($X), with an 8.7% share of total exports. It was followed by Peru, with a 7.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Brazil amounted to +5.7%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Chile (-0.7% per year) and Peru (+22.0% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in MERCOSUR stood at $X per unit in 2022, with an increase of 19% against the previous year. Export price indicated perceptible growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, printing press export price increased by +30.4% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the export price increased by 40%. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Brazil ($X per unit), while Colombia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Imports in MERCOSUR
In 2022, printing press imports in MERCOSUR reduced modestly to X units, declining by -4.5% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports saw a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 33%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, printing press imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, imports recorded a abrupt curtailment. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
Brazil dominates imports structure, finishing at X units, which was near 64% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Guyana (X units), Chile (X units), Colombia (X units) and Peru (X units), together constituting a 28% share of total imports. Argentina (X units) and Uruguay (X units) took a relatively small share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to printing press imports into Brazil stood at -8.9%. At the same time, Guyana (+21.5%), Argentina (+2.9%) and Colombia (+2.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Brazil ($X), Argentina ($X) and Chile ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, with a combined 75% share of total imports. Colombia, Peru, Uruguay and Guyana lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 16%.
Guyana, with a CAGR of +9.1%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline in the imports figures.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in MERCOSUR stood at $X per unit in 2022, growing by 35% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a slight descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 42%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2022, the import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Argentina ($X per unit), while Guyana ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
