Over the period under review, the yield continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 5.4%. Chile dominates exports structure, finishing at X tons, which was approx. 92% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Argentina (X tons), committing a 7.1% share of total exports.
Chile was also the fastest-growing in terms of the quinces exports, with a CAGR of -4.8% from 2012 to 2021. Argentina (-8.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Chile increased by +2.9 percentage points.
In value terms, Chile ($X) remains the largest quince supplier in MERCOSUR, comprising 95% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Argentina ($X), with a 4.5% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Chile stood at -2.3%.
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in MERCOSUR amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 23% against the previous year. Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.7%. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, quince imports rose slightly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a abrupt shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 195% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

The purchases of the one major importers of quinces, namely Brazil, represented more than two-thirds of total import.
