Imports of tiles, flagstones and similar articles of cement, concrete or artificial stone surged to X tons in 2021, increasing by 22% compared with 2020. In general, imports posted a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 40%. Over the period under review, imports of attained the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Brazil ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported tiles, flagstones and similar articles of cement, concrete or artificial stone in MERCOSUR, comprising 58% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Argentina ($X), with a 20% share of total imports. It was followed by Chile, with a 6.9% share.
