Argentina was also the fastest-growing in terms of the vermouth exports, with a CAGR of +14.6% from 2012 to 2022. Brazil (-2.9%) and Chile (-5.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Argentina totaled +23.5%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Chile (-9.1% per year) and Brazil (-5.8% per year).

The export price in MERCOSUR stood at $X per litre in 2022, with an increase of 38% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum at $X per litre in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Argentina ($X per litre), while Brazil ($X per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Argentina (+7.8%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in MERCOSUR
In 2022, purchases abroad of vermouth decreased by -3.1% to X litres for the first time since 2017, thus ending a four-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 150% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X litres, and then shrank slightly in the following year.
In value terms, vermouth imports reduced to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a resilient increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 143% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then reduced in the following year.
Imports by Country
Colombia (X litres) and Chile (X litres) represented roughly 59% of total imports in 2022. Venezuela (X litres) held a 9.6% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Brazil (8.3%), Uruguay (7.4%), Paraguay (5.5%), Ecuador (4.7%) and Peru (4.6%).

In value terms, the largest vermouth importing markets in MERCOSUR were Colombia ($X), Chile ($X) and Brazil ($X), with a combined 70% share of total imports.
Brazil, with a CAGR of +30.2%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in MERCOSUR amounted to $X per litre, increasing by 1.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 16% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per litre. From 2019 to 2022, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
