Capacitor Market Size in Mexico

The Mexican capacitor market skyrocketed to $X in 2021, rising by 29% against the previous year. The United States (X tons) was the main destination for capacitor exports from Mexico, with a 94% share of total exports. It was followed by Brazil (X tons), with a 2.4% share of total exports.

Japan (X tons), China (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main suppliers of capacitor imports to Mexico, with a combined 72% share of total imports. These countries were followed by South Korea, Taiwan (Chinese), Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brazil, the Philippines and India, which together accounted for a further 22%.

Over the period under review, import price indicated prominent growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.2% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, capacitor import price increased by +57.4% against 2012 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
