From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to the United States totaled -17.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: El Salvador (+3.5% per year) and South Korea (+88.9% per year).

Overall, export price indicated a slight expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.0% over the last nine years. Flat-rolled steel products imports into Mexico skyrocketed to X tons in 2021, rising by 22% compared with 2020 figures. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern.
