The United States (X tons) was the main destination for organo-inorganic compounds exports from Mexico, with a 90% share of total exports. Moreover, organo-inorganic compounds exports to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Brazil (X tons), more than tenfold.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to the United States stood at +30.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Brazil (+7.2% per year) and Guatemala (-3.6% per year).

The average organo-inorganic compounds export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, picking up by 20% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a abrupt setback. Overall, total imports indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -13.5% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 130% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, organo-inorganic compounds imports fell to $X in 2021. In general, total imports indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +9.3% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 140%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
