For the third consecutive year, the Mexican photo camera market recorded decline in sales value, which decreased by 0% to $X in 2022. Overall, consumption, however, continues to indicate a deep reduction. As a result, consumption attained the peak level of $X. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of the market remained at a lower figure.

Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a precipitous decline. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, photo camera imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a precipitous contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 226% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of photo camera to Mexico, accounting for a 89% share of total imports. Moreover, photo camera imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the United States (X units), ninefold. Hong Kong SAR (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 0.4% share.

The second position in the ranking was taken by the United States ($X), with an 8.3% share of total imports. It was followed by Hong Kong SAR, with a 0.1% share.
