Oman (X tons), the United Arab Emirates (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the leading exporting countries, was attained by Oman (with a CAGR of +75.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Kuwait ($X) remains the largest diethylene glycol and digol supplier in the Middle East, comprising 57% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Iran ($X), with a 27% share of total exports. It was followed by Saudi Arabia, with a 5.5% share.
In Kuwait, diethylene glycol and digol exports remained relatively stable over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Iran (-3.3% per year) and Saudi Arabia (-36.9% per year).

Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.
