In 2022, the export price in the Middle East amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 43% against the previous year. Ammonium sulphate imports rose rapidly to X tons in 2022, surging by 7.6% compared with the previous year. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 43% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, ammonium sulphate imports surged to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed resilient growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Turkey dominates imports structure, accounting for X tons, which was approx. 90% of total imports in 2022. Lebanon (X tons) and Jordan (X tons) held a little share of total imports.

Imports into Turkey increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Jordan (+7.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. In value terms, Turkey ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported ammonium sulphate in the Middle East, comprising 95% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Lebanon ($X), with a 1.3% share of total imports.
