Turkey experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of casks, barrels, vats, tubs, and coopers products of wood. Kuwait (-2.3%), Lebanon (-4.8%), Saudi Arabia (-8.8%), Israel (-9.8%) and the United Arab Emirates (-22.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Turkey (+33 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Saudi Arabia, Israel and the United Arab Emirates saw its share reduced by -3.9%, -4.9% and -11% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

Turkey (X units) held a 12% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Lebanon (6.4%). The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Israel totaled +2.6%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Turkey (+7.4% per year) and Lebanon (-1.6% per year).
