Turkey (+21 p.p.), Palestine (+9.7 p.p.), Saudi Arabia (+4.4 p.p.) and Israel (+3.5 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while the United Arab Emirates saw its share reduced by -19% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest hand-held blow pipe supplier in MENA, comprising 43% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with an 18% share of total exports. It was followed by Saudi Arabia, with a 14% share.
In Turkey, hand-held blow pipe exports decreased by an average annual rate of -2.4% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United Arab Emirates (-9.5% per year) and Saudi Arabia (+8.2% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in MENA amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 45% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a strong expansion. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, the United Arab Emirates (X units), distantly followed by Morocco (X units), Iraq (X units), Algeria (X units), Libya (X units), Israel (X units), Iran (X units) and Turkey (X units) were the key importers of hand-held blow pipes for soldering, brazing or welding, together achieving 88% of total imports. Qatar (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
