Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2020, and then reduced in the following year.
In value terms, antisera imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a buoyant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 29% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in the near future.

In 2021, Turkey (X tons), distantly followed by Israel (X tons), Saudi Arabia (X tons), Iraq (X tons), Lebanon (X tons), Iran (X tons) and the United Arab Emirates (X tons) represented the largest importers of antisera and other blood fractions, together comprising 87% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Saudi Arabia (with a CAGR of +30.3%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported antisera and other blood fractions in the Middle East, comprising 39% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Israel ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Saudi Arabia, with a 12% share.
