In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported articles of asbestos-cement, of cellulose fibre-cement in the Middle East, comprising 76% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Israel ($X), with an 8.1% share of total imports. It was followed by Lebanon, with a 7.6% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in the United Arab Emirates totaled +32.3%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Israel (+84.8% per year) and Lebanon (+4.7% per year).
