The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, twig broom export price increased by +107.4% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the export price increased by 42% against the previous year. By contrast, Israel (-3.9%), Qatar (-5.1%) and Lebanon (-13.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of the United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Jordan increased by +16, +3.3 and +2.1 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported brooms and brushes of twigs in the Middle East, comprising 39% of total imports.
