The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 28%. Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton), while Saudi Arabia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+1.5%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

Imports in the Middle East
Butan-1-ol (n-butyl alcohol) imports dropped to X tons in 2022, waning by -11.3% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed perceptible growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 230%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, butan-1-ol (n-butyl alcohol) imports declined markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 273%. In value terms, Turkey ($X), the United Arab Emirates ($X) and Iran ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, with a combined 84% share of total imports.
Among the main importing countries, Iran, with a CAGR of +57.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in the Middle East amounted to $X per ton, with a decrease of -13.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a pronounced contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 41%. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per ton), while the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Israel (+1.1%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
