In value terms, Turkey ($X), the United Arab Emirates ($X) and Israel ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, together comprising 82% of total exports. Oman and Iran lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 16%.
Oman, with a CAGR of +72.7%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in the Middle East amounted to $X per ton, growing by 6.8% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 47% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Oman ($X per ton), while Iran ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
