The level of export peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Saudi Arabia (X tons) was the main exporter of ceramic pipes, conduits, guttering and pipe fittings, creating 67% of total exports. It was distantly followed by the United Arab Emirates (X tons), Turkey (X tons) and Israel (X tons), together creating a 29% share of total exports. By contrast, the United Arab Emirates (-9.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of the United Arab Emirates (+12 p.p.), Turkey (+10 p.p.), Israel (+5.4 p.p.) and Palestine (+3.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Saudi Arabia (-31.7 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Saudi Arabia ($X), Israel ($X) and Turkey ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, together comprising 84% of total exports. These countries were followed by the United Arab Emirates and Palestine, which together accounted for a further 9.9%.

Palestine, with a CAGR of +23.0%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2021, the export price in the Middle East amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 5.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the export price increased by 204%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2019 to 2021, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per ton), while the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In value terms, Saudi Arabia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported ceramic pipes, conduits, guttering and pipe fittings in the Middle East, comprising 69% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Israel ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by Bahrain, with a 4.1% share.
