The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 268% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, helicopter imports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a deep reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 79% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. In 2022, the United Arab Emirates (X units), Iraq (X units), Oman (X units), Israel (X units) and Turkey (X units) was the major importer of civil helicopters in the Middle East, constituting 80% of total import. Iran (X units) held a 5.7% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Kuwait (5.7%).
