The following exporters - the United Arab Emirates (X units), Jordan (X units), Yemen (X units), Oman (X units) and Lebanon (X units) - together made up 18% of total exports.

Exports from Turkey increased at an average annual rate of +7.2% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Kuwait (+19.1%), Yemen (+12.8%) and Lebanon (+5.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kuwait emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +19.1% from 2012-2022. Oman experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Jordan (-6.2%) and the United Arab Emirates (-16.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Turkey (+31 p.p.), Kuwait (+4.9 p.p.) and Yemen (+2.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Jordan (-4.9 p.p.) and the United Arab Emirates (-24.6 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest concrete-mixer lorry supplier in the Middle East, comprising 82% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kuwait ($X), with a 4.4% share of total exports. It was followed by Jordan, with a 3.8% share.

In Turkey, concrete-mixer lorry exports expanded at an average annual rate of +7.2% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kuwait (+37.2% per year) and Jordan (-3.5% per year).

In value terms, Saudi Arabia ($X), Iraq ($X) and the United Arab Emirates ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together accounting for 65% of total imports. Israel, Kuwait, Palestine and Jordan lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 24%.

Palestine, with a CAGR of +7.4%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline in the imports figures.

In 2022, the import price in the Middle East amounted to $X per unit, which is down by -2.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the import price increased by 11%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kuwait ($X per unit), while the United Arab Emirates ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
