After three years of decline, the Middle Eastern copper pipe and fitting market increased by 17% to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, consumption, however, showed a pronounced contraction. The level of consumption peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, consumption remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country
Turkey represented the key exporter of copper tubes, pipes and fitting in the Middle East, with the volume of exports reaching X tons, which was approx. 75% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Bahrain (X tons) and Iran (X tons), together comprising a 21% share of total exports. The United Arab Emirates (X tons) took a relatively small share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to copper pipe and fitting exports from Turkey stood at +17.5%. At the same time, Bahrain (+66.1%) and Iran (+12.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Bahrain emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +66.1% from 2012-2021. In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest copper pipe and fitting supplier in the Middle East, comprising 78% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Bahrain ($X), with a 9.9% share of total exports. It was followed by Iran, with an 8.1% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Turkey amounted to +17.6%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Bahrain (+80.0% per year) and Iran (+13.1% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in the Middle East amounted to $X per ton, rising by 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per ton), while the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bahrain (+8.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in the Middle East
In 2021, the amount of copper tubes, pipes and fitting imported in the Middle East skyrocketed to X tons, growing by 44% compared with 2020 figures. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, copper pipe and fitting imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a perceptible increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
Turkey was the key importing country with an import of around X tons, which reached 47% of total imports. The United Arab Emirates (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 16% share, followed by Saudi Arabia (12%) and Israel (10%). Kuwait (X tons), Qatar (X tons) and Jordan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Turkey was also the fastest-growing in terms of the copper tubes, pipes and fitting imports, with a CAGR of +11.8% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Kuwait (+6.9%), Israel (+4.4%), the United Arab Emirates (+2.1%), Qatar (+1.9%) and Jordan (+1.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Saudi Arabia (-8.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Turkey (+26 p.p.) and Israel (+1.8 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Saudi Arabia (-21.3 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Turkey stood at +12.4%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the United Arab Emirates (+2.9% per year) and Saudi Arabia (-6.8% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in the Middle East stood at $X per ton in 2021, growing by 22% against the previous year. Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.0%. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per ton), while Kuwait ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
