In 2021, the Middle Eastern truck crane market increased by 13% to $X, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, consumption, however, saw a noticeable shrinkage. The level of consumption peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, consumption remained at a lower figure.

Truck crane exports skyrocketed to X units in 2021, with an increase of 124% against the previous year. Overall, exports posted a resilient increase. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, truck crane exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports recorded buoyant growth. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
In 2021, Turkey (X units) was the major exporter of truck cranes, constituting 68% of total exports. The United Arab Emirates (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 14% share, followed by Oman (10%) and Bahrain (6.1%).
Exports from Turkey increased at an average annual rate of +11.2% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Oman (+25.9%), Bahrain (+12.6%) and the United Arab Emirates (+4.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Oman emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +25.9% from 2012-2021. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Oman and Turkey increased by +7.4 and +6.7 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest truck crane supplier in the Middle East, comprising 75% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Oman ($X), with a 9.5% share of total exports. It was followed by Bahrain, with a 7.4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Turkey stood at +8.7%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Oman (+21.3% per year) and Bahrain (+7.6% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in the Middle East amounted to $X per unit, stabilizing at the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a noticeable curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 7.5% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bahrain ($X per unit), while the United Arab Emirates ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (-2.2%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in the Middle East
After seven years of decline, overseas purchases of truck cranes increased by 47% to X units in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 65%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, truck crane imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced contraction. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
The United Arab Emirates represented the largest importer of truck cranes in the Middle East, with the volume of imports reaching X units, which was approx. 47% of total imports in 2021. Israel (X units) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Iraq (X units), Kuwait (X units) and Turkey (X units). All these countries together took near 38% share of total imports. Oman (X units) and Jordan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Imports into the United Arab Emirates increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Israel (+13.3%), Jordan (+9.6%) and Kuwait (+2.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Israel emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +13.3% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Iraq (-2.2%), Oman (-6.7%) and Turkey (-11.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The United Arab Emirates (+11 p.p.) and Israel (+11 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Iraq, Oman and Turkey saw its share reduced by -2.8%, -4.5% and -11.8% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported truck cranes in the Middle East, comprising 36% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Israel ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Turkey, with an 8.4% share.
In the United Arab Emirates, truck crane imports contracted by an average annual rate of -3.2% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Israel (+11.4% per year) and Turkey (-5.7% per year).

In 2021, the import price in the Middle East amounted to $X per unit, standing approx. at the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a pronounced descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the import price increased by 17% against the previous year.
