Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Israel (X tons) and the United Arab Emirates (X tons) represented roughly 55% of total exports in 2021. Turkey (X tons) held the next position in the ranking, followed by Yemen (X tons), Saudi Arabia (X tons) and Lebanon (X tons). All these countries together held approx. 34% share of total exports. Oman (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Israel (with a CAGR of +46.7%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Israel ($X) emerged as the largest crispbread supplier in the Middle East, comprising 57% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with a 19% share of total exports. It was followed by Turkey, with a 7.2% share.

In 2021, the import price in the Middle East amounted to $X per ton, declining by -8.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a mild decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 17%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2021, the import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($X per ton), while Oman ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
