In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest calendering cylinder supplier in the Middle East, comprising 71% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by Kuwait, with a 9.1% share.

While the share of Israel (+7.3 p.p.), Syrian Arab Republic (+6.3 p.p.), Iran (+4.5 p.p.), Kuwait (+2.1 p.p.), Oman (+1.7 p.p.) and the United Arab Emirates (+1.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Turkey (-15.7 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Turkey ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported cylinders for calendering in the Middle East, comprising 44% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Israel ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates, with a 12% share.

In Turkey, calendering cylinder imports decreased by an average annual rate of -3.4% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Israel (+5.8% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+2.3% per year).
