The Middle Eastern crane market was estimated at $X in 2022, rising by 2.8% against the previous year. In general, consumption showed a slight curtailment. Over the period under review, the market attained the maximum level at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, consumption failed to regain momentum.

In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 58% against the previous year. In value terms, crane exports rose modestly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a noticeable contraction. In 2022, Turkey (X units), Saudi Arabia (X units) and the United Arab Emirates (X units) was the major exporter of derricks, cranes, mobile lifting frames, straddle carriers and work trucks fitted with a crane in the Middle East, making up 96% of total export.
