In value terms, Turkey ($X), the United Arab Emirates ($X) and Saudi Arabia ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, together comprising 94% of total exports. These countries were followed by Kuwait, Oman and Lebanon, which together accounted for a further 4.8%.
Kuwait, with a CAGR of +44.8%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in the Middle East stood at $X per ton in 2021, jumping by 18% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per ton), while Oman ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in the Middle East amounted to $X per ton, rising by 14% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
