The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the export price increased by 21% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per ton), while Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In terms of the main importing countries, Iraq, with a CAGR of +16.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the import price in the Middle East amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 18% against the previous year. Import price indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.8% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, fishing rod import price increased by +33.4% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the import price increased by 66%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
