Turkey represented the major importer of graphite (natural) in the Middle East, with the volume of imports amounting to X tons, which was approx. 63% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Iran (X tons) and the United Arab Emirates (X tons), together generating a 33% share of total imports. Kuwait (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to graphite imports into Turkey stood at +6.3%. At the same time, Kuwait (+57.2%), the United Arab Emirates (+22.4%) and Iran (+4.3%) displayed positive paces of growth.
