The Middle Eastern hair spray market reduced dramatically to $X in 2022, shrinking by -19.8% against the previous year. In 2022, the export price in the Middle East amounted to $X per ton, rising by 2.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. From 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, approx. X tons of hair sprays were imported in the Middle East; reducing by -15.8% on the previous year's figure. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.0% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 33%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then declined rapidly in the following year.

At the same time, Iraq (+7.3%), Qatar (+6.7%), Turkey (+3.0%) and Kuwait (+1.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Israel experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Jordan (-6.4%), Iran (-8.7%) and Yemen (-9.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and Turkey increased by +20, +6.5 and +2.5 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported hair sprays in the Middle East, comprising 41% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Turkey ($X), with an 18% share of total imports. It was followed by Iraq, with an 11% share.
