Canned Meat Market Size in the Middle East

In 2021, the Middle Eastern canned meat market decreased by -26.9% to $X, falling for the fifth year in a row after five years of growth. Jordan (X tons) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Israel (X tons). All these countries together held approx. 12% share of total exports. The following exporters - Lebanon (X tons) and Kuwait (X tons) - each amounted to a 3.4% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Turkey (with a CAGR of +26.8%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) remains the largest canned meat supplier in the Middle East, comprising 41% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Turkey ($X), with an 18% share of total exports. It was followed by Saudi Arabia, with a 15% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in the United Arab Emirates totaled +18.7%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Turkey (+17.7% per year) and Saudi Arabia (+2.6% per year).

The export price in the Middle East stood at $X per ton in 2021, with a decrease of -8.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a mild descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 15% against the previous year. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 16%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
