In value terms, the largest hydrogen supplying countries in the Middle East were the United Arab Emirates ($X) and Israel ($X).
Israel, with a CAGR of +75.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review.

As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, the amount of hydrogen imported in the Middle East rose notably to X cubic meters, increasing by 12% compared with the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate buoyant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 159%. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
In value terms, hydrogen imports soared to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +72.0% against 2018 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 70% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Oman (X cubic meters) and Israel (X cubic meters) dominates imports structure, together generating 93% of total imports. Bahrain (X cubic meters) took a minor share of total imports.

In value terms, Israel ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported hydrogen in the Middle East, comprising 65% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Oman ($X), with a 9.7% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Israel totaled +9.7%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Oman (+0.2% per year) and Bahrain (-0.2% per year).
