As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, the largest paper label importing markets in the Middle East were Turkey ($X), Jordan ($X) and Saudi Arabia ($X), with a combined 56% share of total imports. These countries were followed by the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Iran and Oman, which together accounted for a further 27%.

Iraq, with a CAGR of +16.1%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the import price in the Middle East amounted to $X per ton, dropping by -6.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 19%. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
