The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 87%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

The United Arab Emirates represented the largest importer of line telephone sets with cordless handsets in the Middle East, with the volume of imports accounting for X units, which was near 61% of total imports in 2022. Israel (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 12% share, followed by Turkey (9.1%), Iraq (7.2%) and Qatar (5.7%). Oman (X units) held a relatively small share of total imports.

Imports into the United Arab Emirates decreased at an average annual rate of -2.2% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Iraq (+10.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. The United Arab Emirates (+24 p.p.), Iraq (+5.9 p.p.), Qatar (+3.1 p.p.) and Israel (+3.1 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Oman and Turkey saw its share reduced by -2.7% and -16.8% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.

In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported line telephone sets with cordless handsets in the Middle East, comprising 53% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Qatar ($X), with a 19% share of total imports. It was followed by Iraq, with a 9.5% share.

In the United Arab Emirates, line telephone imports plunged by an average annual rate of -8.6% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Qatar (+4.0% per year) and Iraq (+10.2% per year).
