The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 90% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2020, and then shrank in the following year.

Turkey represented the largest exporter of liquid supply or production meters in the Middle East, with the volume of exports recording X units, which was near 78% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Israel (X units), generating a 21% share of total exports.

Exports from Turkey increased at an average annual rate of +18.9% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Israel (+27.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Israel emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +27.0% from 2012-2021. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Israel increased by +8.3 percentage points.

In value terms, Israel ($X) and Turkey ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021.

Turkey, with a CAGR of +7.7%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review.

The export price in the Middle East stood at $X per unit in 2021, dropping by -17.2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 33%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per unit), while Turkey totaled $X per unit.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (-9.4%).

Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 137% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, liquid supply meter imports reduced to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.5% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported liquid supply or production meters in the Middle East, comprising 48% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Iraq ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Israel, with a 12% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in the United Arab Emirates totaled +6.6%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Iraq (-0.1% per year) and Israel (+30.9% per year).

In 2021, the import price in the Middle East amounted to $X per unit, flattening at the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the import price increased by 53%.
