The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 17%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, non-woven glass fibre articles exports rose notably to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, recorded a pronounced curtailment. Turkey prevails in exports structure, recording X tons, which was near 80% of total exports in 2021. Kuwait (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 6.7% share, followed by the United Arab Emirates (6%). The following exporters - Iran (X tons), Bahrain (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons) - together made up 7% of total exports.

Exports from Turkey increased at an average annual rate of +17.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Bahrain (+79.7%), Iran (+21.9%), Saudi Arabia (+9.6%) and the United Arab Emirates (+4.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Bahrain emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +79.7% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Kuwait (-21.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Turkey, Iran and Bahrain increased by +56, +2.7 and +1.8 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest non-woven glass fibre articles supplier in the Middle East, comprising 66% of total exports.
